Legally required
Employers are responsible for the staff safety in the workplace. According to the Working Conditions Act, they must guarantee a safe working environment. For warehouses, this means safe use of the racks. To guarantee this, an inspection after installation and renovation is mandatory. In addition, your warehouse must be inspected at least once a year to check the racks for damage or defects. With intensive use, it is even mandatory to have a periodic inspection recur more often. Please contact us for both the periodic inspection and the 0-measurement of any storage systems we installed.
- Part of the inspection
During the inspection, the following parts of your warehouse racks will be carefully inspected:
- Visual inspection for deformation and uneven loading of among others yokes, beams, shelves, and cantilevers. Entirely in accordance with the NEN-EN 15635 benchmark.
- Check for existing damage and/or wear.
- Check the securing and crossing of pallets.
- Safety assessment. This must be guaranteed at all times, in accordance with the NPR 5055-1 benchmark.
- Concise report
Following the inspection, the inspector draws up a concise report in which his findings are clearly described. This provides insight into possible points of attention and any required maintenance. Any repairs or even replacement of the racks will be communicated. If any issues are found, you may only use the racks again after repairs or other maintenance have been approved.
